TKE Beta Epsilon Chapter
The Beta Epsilon Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon is located at Trine University (Formerly Tri-State) in Angola, IN. Our fraternity focuses on six main principles that prepare men for success during and after their college years. Scholarship, Character, Leadership, Teamwork, Service, and Brotherhood. We encourage you to explore our website and the many links within it.
For 2012 and 2013 the Beta Epsilon chapter won national awards and recognition for Alumni Relations, Most Improved Chapter, Community Service, and Extracurricular involvement on campus.
In an effort to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital the Beta Epsilon chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon held a charity baseball tournament for the local community. Six teams competed over four days in what turned out to be a great experience for the chapter. A few facts about St. Jude Children’s Hospital:
On average, 7,800 active patients visit the hospital each year, most of whom are treated on an outpatient basis.
St. Jude is the first institution established for the sole purpose of conducting basic and clinical research and treatment into catastrophic childhood diseases, mainly cancer.
In August 1978, TKE officially joined member Danny Thomas in the fight against childhood cancer by raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Now, 30 years later, TKE is recommitted to this amazing cause and will strive to continue the pledge set forth by our fellow members. Even though Danny died in February 1991, his vision for St. Jude lives on.
